Confidence Camp
Horse and therapy based psycho-educational classes and activities at a Davidson, NC farm. Focused on growing confidence and self esteem, social and relational skills, and coping skills for distress tolerance and emotion regulation. Nature and art therapy techniques are also woven in. All campers are sent home with materials to continue their use of skills at home.
Lesson times on: emotion regulation, mindfulness, making and keeping fiends, social skills, distress tolerance skills, group work and problem solving skills.
Activities like: grooming, leading, obstacle courses, hammocks, group problem solving, building, creative story telling, and chicken/small companion animal time.
Crafts and games that focus on the same skills of the day.
